At this year's ABC-WIN, physicians from countries throughout Europe shared their experiences using the Comaneci & Tiger in daily practice, as part of their neuro-interventional toolbox

The following were presented at the congress:

ABC Win Val d'Isere 2018

Comaneci Sessions Summary:

Dr. Mani Puthuran Walton Centre NHS Trust Liverpool, UK 26 cases mostly in 2017 33% Elective 72% PCOM and ICA "I found the Comaneci to be a very good and stable adjunct device. There was no flow disruption, and it proved to have a good safety profile." Dr. Stanimir Sirakov UH St. Ivan Rilski Sofia, Bulgaria Standard use 2017: 54 patients - 49 Post SAH "…in our experience, the Comaneci is an effective innovative technique for the treatment of complex and wide-neck intracranial aneurysms…" Dr. Marcin MIŚ Medical University Hospital Wrocław, Poland 36 cases - 15 Post SAH "The Comaneci has become one of the foundational interventional tools used by our neuroradiologists. It's safe and easy to use, and preparation is fast. It's also good for Bifurcation and wide neck aneurisms." Dr. Batuhan Kara Bakirkoy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey Can adjustable remodeling mesh eliminate the need for double stent assisted techniques for the coiling of wide neck bifurcation aneurysm? "While normally we use two stents on a bifurcation, we attempted the novel approach of treating with just one stent and the Comaneci. We found it to be a straightforward technique, the efficacy of which was proven when our follow-ups showed complete occlusions in

every case.

ABC Win Val d'Isere 2018 Mechanical Thrombectomy with Tiger, experience in Spain:

Dr. Hidalgo, Dr. Lucas and Dr. Olier Complejo Hospitalario Torrecárdenas, Almería. Hospital de Navarra, Pamplona Retrospective study from 19 patients: 12 as a First-option device; 7 following failure of other device. 90% of the cases had recanalization rate of TICI 2b/3, with an average of 1.6 passes.

"Without doubt, using the Tiger adjustable clot retriever for anterior cerebral circulation thrombectomy in patients with acute ischemic stroke is safe and feasible. Our preliminary experience demonstrates similar angiographic results compared to the best reported data in the literature, and better than our experience with other Stentrievers. The most remarkable advantages are good radiological visibility, capability to open and close the device and excellent navigability."
