Challenging Remodeling Case

A patient with hereditary splenic disease and a family history of ruptured aneurysms was treated with Comaneci 17 for two aneurysms located on the basilar and superior cerebellar arteries. Due to the challenging anatomy, diameter of the parent vessels (2-3 mm), patient's history and the risk of rapture, the Comaneci 17 was a logical choice. After about 60 minutes, both aneurysms had been treated, one by one, with the same device. Having entered the hospital for the procedure on a Friday, the patient was in excellent condition after the treatment, and was discharged the next day, with a follow-up angiography scheduled for 9 months down the road.
